Our Leadership
Our church is fortified by dozens of volunteers who lead small groups, clean and maintain our facilities, nurture our children, keep our services secure, sing and play our worship music, plan exciting events, serve as guest speakers, manage our online presence, greet our guests, prepare meals, and meet innumerable other needs. It is our belief that all followers of Jesus are in full-time ministry, serving as the hands and feet of Jesus here on earth, whether they are members of our staff or not. Our church could not function as it does without every member's contributions, as 1 Corinthians 12:12-31 affirms.

Alongside our congregation of volunteers, our two ministry staff couples are the Perkins and the Wests.

Dr. Brian & Shann Perkins
Brian was baptized in 1992 and Shann in 1993 in The Detroit Church of Christ. While finishing their
studies at the University of Michigan, Brian and Shann Perkins began their ministry training in the
International Church of Christ (ICOC) campus ministries. As Wolverines, Brian completed his Masters in Electrical Engineering and Shann finished her BA in United States History.
After their wedding in 1996, the Perkins begin their ministry journey with the Detroit Church of Christ as Teen Leaders. Shortly after, God called them to Papua New Guinea, where they served as full-time missionaries to the people in this part of the Pacific Ocean region. After three years, Brian and Shann returned Stateside to serve in ministry with the
Detroit Church of Christ. While in Detroit, their children Wynstin and Whitney were born.
In 2009, the Perkins moved to serve as the Lead Evangelist and Women’s Ministry Leader for the Louisville Church of Christ in Louisville, KY. Brian has since completed his Doctorate in Comprehensive Theology and Shann has earned her Master’s in Christian Counseling. Dr. Perkins now serves as a member of the ICOC Teachers Service Team and Shann serves on the Minister’s Health Task Force. The Perkins teach around the world, with a special emphasis on deep biblical studies and outreach to the lost. Their passion for their own personal walk with God, their family, and teaching the lost is evident in the fruit of their lives.

Keith & Jayne West
Keith and Jayne were converted to Christ as college students at the University of Florida, then trained for ministry at the Crossroads Church of Christ. At UF, Keith completed his undergraduate degree in Speech Communication with a Minor in Religion while Jayne finished her BS in Journalism with a specialization in Agriculture.
After marrying in 1980, they began leading a small church in Hartsville, Tennessee. The Wests then moved to continue serving in Family Ministry as Region Leaders in Atlanta, Georgia and
later Charlotte, North Carolina. In 1990, God brought them to the Louisville Church of Christ here in Kentucky. Here, Keith was appointed an Evangelist and Jayne a Women’s Ministry Leader in the International Churches of Christ (ICOC).

With 40 years of full-time ministry experience, the Wests have a deep love for God, His mission, and for helping the church feel like family. Blessed with four children and two grandchildren, their greatest desire is to see as many as possible find a home in heaven.
